You’re not as healthy as you think

Pain triggers action

It’s human nature to generally only take action when there is pain attached to it.
This pain can be physical such as lower back pain, shoulder pain, we go to a physio.
It can be pain attached to a lower output, inability to do daily tasks with ease. It can be the emotional pain of comparison.
Looking back on your former self and how your level of capabilities have bee impeded or reduced, that is tough.
The most common derivative to excite drive is the pain caused by a photo.
We reflect on a photo that was taken at an event, and there is that moment where you don’t like what you see looking back at you.

These moments can be enough to drive pain. The unfortunate thing is, if there was agency taken ahead of time you could be living a lifestyle without this pain. This is the unfortunate paradox.

We think we are ok until we are not, we think our health is ok until a trip to the doctor.
An awakening when go for your health insurance and you are in the high risk category based on BMI numbers.

It’s a hard moment for the client and fitness coach when a prospective client steps up on a body composition machine and they realise they are in a far worse condition than then originally expected.
The expected 1 stone they had in their head to lose was in-fact 3 stone.

People who live sedentary lifestyles such as Office workers, G.Ps, Civil servants, and people working in the tech and Pharma space. These people struggle to meet the minimum amount of recommend physical activity per day due to desk bound jobs or standing for several hours per day. Employees based inside with a lack of fresh air and natural light does not promote a healthy environment.

Not doing physically demanding task on a regular bases does not help support or maintain lean muscle tissue.
Muscle essential for health. You don’t need to have only a big waist line to be unhealthy.
People with what we call ideal waist lines, can be at major risk of chronic diseases and poor health such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, Type II diabetes, stroke or heart attacks.

Why is this so dangerous? Well because on the outside you look fine, this gives you a false sense of health. You might just have the little pot belly which has been normalised. Feel a bit soft around the stomach, but that’s very easy to hide with a shirt or jumper.
The point, it doesn’t negatively effect your day, you still get for work each day and you don’t struggle with any pain, so why would you take any action

You are FINE.

Until you are not.

Here is my FREE recommendation. If you are doing nothing to help your health, do something.
Move 3-4 times per week for 45-60 minutes.

Lift something heavy 2 times per week, full body. Work your Legs, Back, Arms, Pull things, lift them over your head.
Get your heart rate up to an uncomfortable level 1 time per week. Thats enough.
Get your heart rate up to a relative high intensity 2-3 other times per week.

Eat whole foods.
If it grows in the ground or from a tree, eat it.
If it swims, runs or flies eat that also.
Eat less produce that comes from a box and minimum amount of processed sugar.
Eat for purpose, not for pleasure 90% of the time. 10% of the time eat what you like guilt free.

If you can do this consistently for large parts of the year forever, you will doing alright. You will never need to see me
If you don’t know where to start drop me a message. I can help.

Love life, live it to the best of your ability.
You are the only one who can take care of yourself.

Have a great day.
